FOOTBALL.
Normanby is anxious to put in a team tor the southern junior competition, but as it is in the Okaiawa district it has first to obtain Okalawa's consent. This, it appears, is not likely to be forthcoming. A member of the Okaiawa Club explained to a Normanby meeting last week |hat Okaiawa felt it had a good chance of winning the senior and junior contests this season, and, with the help of Normanby, the third grade also. Normanby School last year won the Taranaki championship and the McLeod Shield, and the boys there feel they should be given the opportunity of playing in a higher grade. Normanby can put a good team in the field, and does not take kindly to playing for Okaiawa or going without the game.
