MEETING AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association Wellington, Last Night. The Wellington Amateur and the Victoria University Athletic Clubs held a combined sports gathering this afternoon in showery weather. A good deal of interest was attached to a 120 yards hurdle challenge between University and Wellington. In Wellington’s run off H. S. Whyte, led all the way from Wilson and was just beaten on the post. In the final he dead-heat-ed with Wilson. Jackson (University), the well-known three-quarter, was the only other starter. The race was timed at 15 4-ssec., which, taking !n*o consideration the state of the turf, was an excellent time. The challenge cup resulted: Victoria University 13, Wellington 11. The Blundell cups resulted:—College events: Wellington College. Primary schools: Hutt.
