Wheat cargoes are quiet, as anillcrs have sufficient stocks and do not wish further contracts at present. LONDON WOOL SALES. Received March 30, 5.5 p.m. London, March 20. At the wool stiles competition was well maintained all roun,d at full prices. Quotations: •‘Gear’’ 17d, "Avon” 36%d to 32d. THE TALLOW MARKET. Received March 30, 5.5 p.m. London, March 29. At the tallow sales 1975 casks wore, offered and 419 sold. There was an average decline of about 6d, which was most marked on low qualities. Mutton, fine 425, medium 38s 6d; beef, fine 42s to 38s 6d. COLOMBO TEA SALES. Colombo, March 29. At the ten sales, 23 to 24 million pounds were offered. The quality of the selection again showed a falling off. A good general I demand prevailed, and bidding was keener I considering ti e drop in quality. Prices genI erally were very firm.
