THE REPUBLICAN DEMAND. SENSATIONAL MOVE. OVERTHROW OF RULERS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Marell 29. “A dictatorship would overthrow the four Governments in Ireland opposed to the Republic, namely the Dail Eireenn, the Provisional Government, the British Government, and the Northern Government.” According to a statement issued at Beggar’s Bush, and vouched for by regular general headquarters, this was part of a resolution carried at Sunday’s convention of the I.R.A. and Irreconeilables. *at which Thoma© Barry and Frank Barrett forwarded a resolution setting out the matters of immediate concern to the executive on March 27, including—(l) The maintenance of Ireland as an independent Republic. • (2) The appointment of a Chief of Staff, who would appoint general headquarters. subject to the executive’s veto (3) The declaration of a dictatorship with a view to the ordering of the dissolution of all pretended Governments by the prohibition of Parliamentary elections till they can be held on adult suffrage. The statement add©: “It was finally decided to recommend Mr. Barry’s resolution to the executive, which will give its considered opinion at the next convention on April 9.” The report- continues: “Delegates are of opinion that finance will not cause much trouble, as money can be had for the taking. The Press could be held by commandeering the machinery or using sledge-hammers.’’ A Dublin delegate proposed to withdraw men from the ranks, as each would bring a rifle. Another said: “Better wait; you will have more than the man and his rifle.” It was decided to atop recruiting for the Free State Army.
