ELECTION OF SCHOOL COMMITTEES. rpilE Board, in pursuance of the power in that behalf conferred by “The Education Act, 1914,” hereby directs that a Public Meeting of Householders be held in each School District in the Taranaki Education District on Mon\ day, April 24, 1922, at 7.30 o’clock id the evening, for the Election of a School Committee for each District. The place of meeting shall be the School in each District. The First Meeting of each newlyelected School Committee shall be held immediately after the Election. The Board calls upon Householders in each District to send in to the Chairman of the School Committee (or the Commissioner, as the case may l!>e), in on or before Monday, April 17, before 8 p.m., the names of persons, being householders, nominated by them t<? serve on the committee. Such nominations must be signed by the Proposer and by the Candidate, and must be in the form set forth in the Third Schedule of the Act, and a list of such nominations shall be displayed upon the door of the School.

Tn addition to such nominations, any householder present at a meeting in a RURAL AREA may nominate any qualified candidate who consents to be so nominated, either verbally or in writing.
