MR. LLOYD GEORGE.
LONDON VISIT DISCUSSED. RETURN TO THE COUNTRY. By Telegraph.—Press Assr..—Copyright. London, March 28. The Daily Mail states that the Premier’s return to London was premature. Its suddenness was mainly owing to the feeling in official circles respecting the Genoa Conference. It is now clear that, besides the opinion inside and outside the House of Commons, which is gravely divided on the question, there have arisen disagreements within the Cabinet. Mr. Churchill for a long time has lamented the attitude of the Government towards Russia, and his feelings are shared by some of his colleagues. While hitherto differences and cleavages have been avoided, the Premier’s booming of his Bolshevik policy has provoked counter emotions which cannot be ignored.' It is understood that the Premier conferred with Mr. Churchill. Meanwhile Lenin, in an interview, declared: “The man I want to see is Lloyd George. I feel that with him an understanding is possible.” Mr. Lloyd George spent the morning at a Cabinet meeting. He lunched with Liberal members of the Ministry, had an audience with the King in the afternoon, and then left for the country. He probably will not return to London before Monday.
