MEETING AT •'WAITARA. An ambitious programme of running and cycling events has been drawn up by the North Taranaki Soldiers’ and Civilians’ Club in connection with their first annual meeting, to be held on the Camp Reserve, Waitara, on Easter Monday. In both branches the programme is well endowed with prize money, ana should prove an attractive gathering to cyclists and runners. In addition to stake money points prizes are also offered. Intending competitors should note that nominations for all events close with the secretary, Mr. G. Bain, Waitara, on Saturday, at 9 p.m. MANAIA SPORTS. A seven-aside football tournament, Highland and running events are included in the comprehensive programme for the Manaia Hibernian Sports Club’s meeting, which is to take place on the Manaia Domain on Saturday, April 8. 'Die programme provides for £llO in eash and trophies, to be spread over the various sections. The running events appear to be well treated in this respect. the principal race being the Hibernian Sheffield Handicap, of £l5. Nominations for all events on the programme close with the secretary, P.O. Box 30, Manaia, at 9 p.m. on Saturday.
