Ltd., report:—At Eltham on Wednesday we had a good entry of cattle and sheep. Export buyers were operating at reduced limits, consequently prices showed a tifeeline on late rates. Fat cows made to £4, fat steers £6 4s, -forward steers £4, forward cows to £l2 15s, others 25s to 38s, Jersey weaner heifers to £3 18s, Holstein ditto 30s, weaner steei-s (wellbred) 22s 6d. good Shorthorn weaner heifers 355, slips 10s, store pigs to 20s, suckers 7s nd.

At Hawera on Thursday we had a full yarding of cattle and' a small eni try of sheep. Black face lambs Us, ewes 12s 6d. wethers 16s, suckers 6s, store pigs 15s to 20s, bulls 25s to £2, fat bullocks £7 10s, fat and forward to £5 ss, fat and forward cows to £3 15s, others 25s to 355. Shorthorn 2J-year steers £3 12s. 20-month ditto £2, Jersey weaner heifers £3 5s to £3 IDs, mixed weaners to £2 ss, others to 30s, dairy cows and heifers near profit £4 to £7, in-calf 2A-year mixed heifers £4 15s.
