A FARMER’S END. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. ,William John Port, aged 50, a farmer of Awahuri, who was removed to the Palmerston North hospital on Friday evening with a bullet wound in his. head, died early this morning. He was ! found lying on the floor of a whare near [his house, on the occupants of his house investigating the reason of a rifle report. That day deceased had been to Feilding and appeared in hie usual state oi health.
