WELLINGTON v. CANTERBURY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The inter-provincial tennis match, Wellington v. Canterbury, which was played here on Saturday, resulted in a decisive win for the home team, the scores being: 23 matches to 1; 43 sets to 9; 260 games to 168. Danet and Hirsh beat Doust and Nitchit, 6—B, 7—5, 6—4, 6—2. Norton and Lycett beat Germot and Decugis, 2 —6, 6 —l, 6 —l, 7—5.
TARANAKI v. AUCKLAND. The selection committee of the Taranaki Lawn Tennis Association have chosen the following players to represent Taranaki against Auckland, at Auckland, on. April 8: —Men: Messrs. A. G. Wallace, C. Dickie, R. D. Wybourne (Waverley), J. C. Nicholson, C. B. Webster and Dr. Allison (New Plymouth). Ladies: Misses Brewster, Rundle, Simpson (New Plymouth) and Mrs. Smith (Hawera). Any of the above players wishing to have accommodation arranged for them at Auckland must communicate immediately with the secretary of the association.
