LESS WAGES.

REDUdTION IN BRITAIN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. . London. March 23. Wages in practically all trades are suffering a further automatic reduction through the fall of the cost of living. The reductions for civil servants operate from April 1, when the war bonus will be considerably diminished. The employees of shipbuilding engineers are opposing the reductions, but the employers are adamant. Working men generally urge that, in view of the automatic reductions in wages, rents should also be reduced. Dr. T. J. Maenamara (Minister of Labor), replying to a question in the House of Commons, said that an agreement had been reached regarding the working hours in the building trade.
