After investigating the Russian famine, Sir James Allen appeals to New Zealanders for continued help. “I fc. want,” he says, “to assure New Zealand that the money will be well spent.” Sir James Allen suggests that the contributions might be made to the general fund, instead of the children’s fund, because it is futile saving children unless some adults live io sow crops.
