The Opunake team of lady bowlers journeyed to Pihama last week and were defeated comftorta'bly by the Pihama ladies’ team. A return match was played on the local green on Wednesday, when the visitors were again successful. Following are the details of the latter game, Pihama mentioned first: Misses Ducker, Stevenson, Mesdames Neilson, Mason 28; Miss Cron, Mesdames Julian, Holmes, Pulford 19. Weather permitting, the local bowlers are looking forward to a visit from the Hawera Club on Saturday n^xt.—Star.
