REVIVAL IN EUROPE.
CONFERENCE OF NATIVES. BRITAIN’S POLICY. By Telegraph .---Press Assn.—Copyright. London, March 21. The Pall Mall Gazette states that the Allied experts ard deliberating regarding the Genoa programme. London has considered the British proposal that the existing Russian debts be paid by a new series of bonds issued by the Soviet Government not bearing interest for the first five years. It is stated that there is every reason to believe the plan will meet with the acceptance of Russia.
In the House of Commons, at question time, Mr. Chamberlain announced, that the Genoa Conference would be held on April 19 as arranged. Mr. Lloyd George, <x>rd Curzon and Sir Robert Horne would represent Britain.
He added that Mr. Lloyd George would return to the House of Commons on April 3 and take the opinion of the House on the Government’s policy at Genoa. The Government motion in regard thereto would clearly raise the question of confidence, for it was impossible to ask Mr. Lloyd George to go to Genoa if there was any doubt about his authority.
