CONCLUSION OF EVIDENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Recess Parliamentary Committee (Mr. F. F. Hockley, M.P., chairman) on the amendments required in the licensing laws if national no-license is not carried in December, completed hearing evidence this afternoon, and commences its deliberations to-night. The witnesses heard to-day included representatives of the Nelson hop-growers. Revs. Jasper Calder and J. Milne, and Mr. H. E. Jull, of Waipawa. The report and recommendations of the committee, it is understood, will not be published before their presentation to Parliament next session.
