EGMONT DOG TRIALS.

COMMENCE TO-DAY. The annual sheep dog trials of the above club commence to-day, March .21, and continue to-morrow (Wednesday). The trials take place at Mr. W. Snowden’s farm, Inaha, between Hawera and Manaia, the property being well suited for trial work. Good entries have been received for the contests, and it is expected the public will attend in large numbers. Dog trials have rightly come into favor with the public during the few years. The clever work of the well-trained animals is very interesting. All arrangements are completed for a successful meeting, and patrons will be able to secure refreshments on the ground. Those who have not witnessed a dog trial should make a point of attending and see for themselves the wonderful intelligence displayed by the highly-schooled sheep dogs of the Dominion.
