EXPLOSION IN FACTORY.

Knowles, the husband of the factory owner, and Chadwick, the manager, have been charged with manslaughter. The deaths in the explosion totalled 18. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
The Tipton explosion occurred in a factory full of girls, by which ten were killed and others severely injured, several eventually dying* In the factory the girts were engaged in removing powder from tons of cartridges, and it was stated that at the time of the explosion the floor was covered with powder.
