CARRIED AWAY BY BALLOON. ADVENTURE ENDS SAFELY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 19, 5.5 p.m. London, March 18. An observation helloon broke away from its moorings at Angers, carrying away three men clinging to the ropes. One dropped when a few feet above the ground and escaped uninjured, while another dropped when at 90 feet, and succumbed to terrible injuries. The balloon carried the third away, travelling at the rate of thirty miles an hpur, and reached a height of 6000 feet. After several hours the balloon was blown back towards Angers. The man dropped into the tree while the balloon was descending, and was picked up slightly bruised.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
