POWER FROM ARAPUNI.
OFFER TO AUCKLAND BOARD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, March 27. At a meeting of the Auckland Electric Power Board the Mayor stated that the Minister of Public Works had signed a document under which the board shall undertake to purchase the whole of its requirements from the department when power from Arapuni is available on a guarantee to pay the department £105,000 per annum, representing the price of 15,000 kilowatts. The Government undertakes to commence work forthwith and to deliver power at Penrose on April I, 1928. The board deferred consideration of the offer till next Monday.
