The sun rises to-day at 5.57 a.m. and sets at 6.3 p.m.; to-morrow, rises at 5.58 a.m. and sets at 6.2 p.m. ARRIVED. March 17.—Rarawa, s.s. (10.30 p.m.), 1072 tons. Bark, from Onehunga. IN PORT Leitrim, s.s. Rarawa, s.s. EXPECTED ARRIVALS. COASTAL. Ngahere, from Westport, to-morrow. Corinna, from southern ports, to-morrow. Regulus, from Westport, to-unorrow. Rarawa, from Onehunga, Tuesday. Kahika, from southern ports, next week. OVERSEAS. Paketa, to load for the United Kingdom. Due New Plymouth on Wednesday. Kalkorai, now at Newcastle; due from Newcastle about March 27. Makalla, to load at Antwerp, Hull and London for New Zealand ports, including Ntw Plymouth. Canadian Seigneur, to load at New York this month /or New Zealand ports, including New Plymouth. Tredenham, to load at New Orleans at end of March or early in April, for New Plymouth, Auckland, Wellington and Australian ports. Canadian Constructor, left New York on March 2 for Australia, Wellington, New Plymouth and Auckland. Due here in May. RARAWA ARRIVES LATE. The Rarawa was unable to negotiate the Manukau bar on Thursday afternoon owing to the stormy weather, and did not cross till 9.15 a.m. yesterday arriving at New Plymouth at 10.30 last night. She remained the night here, and returns north at 8.30 this evening. LINER LEITRIM. It is very doubtful whether the Federal liner Leitrim, now loading Houneward produce at New Plymouth, will get away to-day as Scheduled, owing to delays caused by the weather. She will probably be in port till Monday before sailing for Wellington. WAIOTAPU NOT CALLING. Owing to numerous delays at New Zealand ports, the Union Company’s liner V’aiotapu, from Pacific Coast ports, will tranship her New Plymouth cargo at Wellington and sail direct from there for Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. |t is not yet known which vessel will bring the transhipments to New Plymouth. The cargo for transhipment to this port consists of 5000 cases of unotor spirit, 100 boxes of dried fruit, 7,3,983 superficial feet of timber, and 40 crates of newsprint. CORINNA TO-MORROW. The Corinna is bringing 2.30 tons of general cargo from Lyttelton for New Plymouth. She was also to load cargo at Wellington and proceed to Nelson at 10 o’clock last night, from which port she is due here either tomorrow or Monday. COAL CARGOES. Two colliers are expected in port to-mor-row, the Ngahere bringing coal from Greymouth for New Plymouth, Onehunga and Wanganui, whilst the Regulus is bringing a similar cargo here from Westport. KAHIKA NEXT WEEK. The Kahika is to luave Dunedin on Monday for New Plymouth via southern ports with general cargo, THE KAIKORAI. The Union Company advise that rhe Kaikorai was to have left Newcastle for Sydney on Thursday, leaving the latter port during the week-end for New Plymouth direct. She brings timber and piles for the Harbor Brfird. Ste is due about the end of next wees. NEW LINER LAUNCHED. A cable from London states the Commonwealth and Dominion liner. Port Campbell, 8250 tons, has been launched at Belfast. THE MAHENO DISPUTE. A Sydney message says that several members of the Maheno's crew sailed in tbo Makura to be paid off at Auckland. The Maheno’s cargo was transhipped to the Manuka. OVERSEA MOVEMENTS. London, March 16.—Arrived: At Colon, Easterner. Sailed: For Sydney. Ventura; for Brisbane, Otira, Canadian Miller; for Port Chalmers, Port Pirie; from Kobe, Kamiknni Maru; from Bombay, Anglo Egyptian; from Manila, Arafrua ; from Singapore, Artemisia; froim Colombo, Ethelwolf. MAHANA ARRIVES HOME. The Shaw, Savill steamer Mahana, which sailed from Wellington on February 1 for Hull, is reported to have reached her destination on the morning of March 15. .iIRELESS FROM REMUERA. A wireless message received from the Remuera, which left Southampton on February 2, advised that the vessel expend to arrive ar Auckland to-morrow morning. PORT DENISON LEAVES PANAMA. Cabled advice has been received by the C. and D. Line to tha effect that the Port Denison, en route from New York to New Zealand ports, passed through the Panama Canal on March 14. The vessel is now due at Auckland on April 6. CORINTHIC NEARING PORT. The Shaw, Savill Company has received a wireless message from the Corinthic, which left Southampton on February 9, notifying that the vessel will arrive in the stream at Wellington to-morrow night. PORT CHALMERS AT PANAMA. Tire C. and D. Line is in receipt of cabled information advising the arrival at Panama on March 13 of the Port Chalmers, which left Lyttelton on February 16 for New York and London. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. ARRIVED. SAILED. Auckland, March' 17.—Ulimaroa (10.30 a.m.), for Sydney.
