FURTHER MEETING OF BOARD CHAIRMAN APPOINTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meat Export Control Board met to-day, when there were present:— Messrs. E. Harty and D. Jones, MP. (Government representatives), T. A. Duncan, John Grigg. Wm. Perry, Adam Hamilton, M.P , and J. S. Jessepp (the meat producers* representatives). The hoard met at Parliament Buildings and there was a full attendance of members. Mr. David Jones was appointed chairman, and Mr. Jessepp vice-chair-man. - -Aj The chairman afterwards informed a reporter that the board discussed the nature of its future operations, but nothing further was done that could be reported. “Nothing,” he added, "was said about tha appointment of the London agent for the board; we have not reached that stage yet.” It is understood that the Government has not arrived at a decision with regard to the appointment of Mr. W. D. Hunt, managing director of Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co., and formerly a member of the National Efficiency Board, nominated by the stock and station agents as their representative on the board.
