VISIT TO PALMERSTON NORTH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. The Minister for Education to-day opened a new central primary school at Palmerston North. Mr. Parr said the main school cost £33,000, and the detached infant department (opened by the Minister some months ago) cost *£lB,ooo. It was the most modern primary school in the Dominion. Later Mr. Parr opened a memorial library at the Boys’ High School, erected by subscription by old boys in memory of exscholars, numbering 69, who fell in the great war. In the evening, after re-J ceiving a deputation in reference to establishment of a St. Helen’s Homfl the Minister and Mrs. Parr were entjM tained by the combined school tees and teachers. I||
