The value of the imports into Britain during February, compared with corresponding period last year, decreased by £27,635,579 and the exports by £9,886,621. Re-exports increased by £2,169,875. . The principal decreases were: in imports, meat £6,380,163, grain and flour £3,282.800, other non-dutiable foods and drink £8,253,836, steel £2,269,995. Tn exports the chief decreases were: Cotton yarns and manufactures £6,690,333, iron and steel £2,557.206, woollen and worsted yarns £1,867,603. The principal increases are, in imports: Dutiable food and drink £2,537,131. In exports: Vehicles, including locomotives, ships and aircraft £5,576,717. Lead imports last month totalled 15,981 tons, of which 6'678 tons come from Australia. The exports amounted to 5325 tons.
