KUDDART, PARKER’S DIVIDEND. Melbourne, March 14. Huddart, Parker and Company’s balancesheet at the end of December shows a. profit of £109,718, against £112,714 for 1920. A dividend has been declared of 3 per cent, on preferred 4 per cent., with 4 per cent, bonus on ordinary shares for the half year to December. MELBOURNE WOOL SALES Melbourne, March 14. The opening March wool sales stowed the best selection of merinos for the season. The market was unchanged compared with ' the closing rates in February. LONDON WOOL SALES. Received March 14, 5.5 pain. London, March 13. At the wool sales there was a moderate selection. There was good home and Continental competition for all sorts at full late rates. NAPIER WOOL SALES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, March 14. The fourth Napier wool sales have opened with the keenest competition. Pieces, bellies and crutchlngs showed a hardening tendency, prices being an improvement on those at. the last Napier sales. Medium crossbred was in great demand, prices being on a par with the ruling rates at the last Napier sale. NEWTON KING, LTD. REPORTS. At Urenui on March 6 prices remained at late levels right throughout, a full clearance resulting. Full-mouth ewes ss, forward conditioned do. Bs, weaner steers 17s, 2%-year-old do. 38s, light fat steers £3 10s, £4, weaner heifers 21s, 31s, empty do. 345, store cows 225, 30s.

At Stratford on the 7th inst. both sheep and cattle, were penned in good numbers, and practically everything sold. The demand was steady; in fact extra keen at tfanes, especially for weaned heifers, very good sales being reported for this class. 2-tooth wethers 14s 4d, lambs 5s 3d. 5s 6d, 5s 9d, 7s, fullmotlth ewes 5s 3d, 7s Bd, fat do. 12s Id, store cows 17s, 265, fat do. £3 t Bs, £3 19s, 20-montb steers 335, 445, weaner heifers 3Gs. £2 ss, Jersey do. £3 Is, £3 10s, in-calf heifers £2 7s Gd, £3 10s, dair# cows £6, £7, boner bulls realised up to £2 15s. At Inglewood on Match 8 we report a full yarding and a satisfactory clearance. On the day sheep and young cattle created most inquiry. Late values were fully maintained throughout. Fat ewes 12s 4d, breeding ewes 10s Gd, 12s, 13S 6d, 14s, latatS 4s Bd, ss, 6s Gd, forward do. 9s 9d, 10s Gd, store cows 245, 38s, light fat do. £2 12s Gd, £3 10s, 20-month steers 335, 37s 6d, weaner heifers 20s, 27s Gd, Jersey strain £2, £2 18s Gd, in-calf heifers £5 15s, £6 10s, empty do. £2 17s 6d, boner bulls 20s, £2 10s.
