WEDDING.
OLIVER—HARIUSnN. A very pretty wedding wps solemnised at St. Mary’s Clnireh, New Plymouth, on February 2, the contracting parties being Miss Florence Maud Oliver, third, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Oliver, of New Plymouth, and Mr. VVm. George Harrison, second son of the. late Mr. and Mrs. A. Harrison, of Wanganui. The Rev. F. G. Harvie officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked lovely in a dainty dress of white georgette with the usual veil and orange blssom, and carried a beautiful bouquet of white roses, lileritis, dahlias, and asparagus ferns. She was attended by Miss Alice White, of Abram. Lancashire, England, as bridesi maid, who wore a pretty dress of pale | pink erepe-de-chine, accordeon pleated, 1 with white leghorn hat trimmed to ■match, and carried a bouquet of pink iand white roses of asparagus ferns. Mr. Arthur Oliver carried out the duties of best' man. The bridegroom’s present to the bridesmaid was a gold brooch. The presents were numerous and useful, including a valuable one from his fellow workers.
A reception was afterwards held at the Hygienic tea rooms, only intimate friends and relatives of the bride and bridegroom being present. In the evening about sixty guests were entertained at the residence of the bride’s parents. The happy couple left for Wanganui, where the honeymoon was spent, the bride’s travelling dress being a sax'e blue coat frock with black hat. The bouquets and cake were the gift of the bride’s mother.
