THREAT TO MINISTER. MR. COLLINS HELD UP. * \ INCIDENT AT CORK. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received March 13, 8.25 p.m. i London, March 13. An armed gang held up Mr. Michael Collins (Minister for Finance in the Free State Government) and party when they went to the St. Finbars cemetery at Cork to visit a Republican plot, threatening to shoot Mr. Collins if he persisted in, the visit. Mr. Collins thereupon returned to the city, where a crowd of twenty thousand gave him a reception.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. DEPUTATION TO AMERICA. TO EXPLAIN FREE STATE. London, March 11. Three representatives of the Irish Provincial Government have sailed for New York to explain the Government’s policy to Irish Americans. Two of De Valera’s followers sailed by the same steamer to enlist the support of Irish Americans in favor of a Republic.
