LONDON MARKETS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, March' 10. At the wool sale there was a strong tone. Fine-haired imerinos were distinctly dear, dthers fully firm. All crossbreds were firm and unchanged. Slipes met strong home demand. The cargo market is quiet, in view of heavy shipments. Quotations afloat,' March 58s, parcels 57s 6d. Following the collapse of the American and Winnipeg wheat market quotations were weak and a shilling lower. There was little business in Indian at 58s. Cotton.—April 10.39 d. Rubber.—Para lid, plantation smoked B%d Jute.—March-April £25 ss. Hemp.—March-May £33. Linseed 0i1.—£37 ss. Turpentine.—6Bs 6d. Wheat freights rather easier; several fixtures for April-May 51s 3d, one May-June 48s 9d. P AND 0. DEBENTURES. London, March 11. The P. and 0. Company is underwriting £3,500,000 worth of 5% per cent, debentures LONDON DAIRY PRODUCE MARKET. Messrs. Newton King, Ltd., have received cabled advice from London, dated March 10, as follows: — Butter.—Market has improved. Latest price 138 s io 140 s per cwt., exceptional 1425. Cheese. —Market weak. Colored 945, white 80s to 82s. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date March 10 : Butter. —New Zealand, 140 s to 144 s per cwt. Market firm. Cheese, 81s to 96s per cwt. Market dull.
