Received March 13, 8.25 p.m. Paris, March 13. The municipality decided not to Invite the Olympiad in 1924, in consequence of which refusal an appeal is being anade to tire Pre-sident.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. BAY OF PLENTY MEETINGS. At Easter there will be a circuit of sports meetings in the Bpy of Plenty district, and the total of cash prizes to be offered is £350. Ac Tauranga on Thursday, April 13, there will be a programme endowed with £BO in prizes. A similar amount will be distributed over the events at the Te Puke sports, to be held on Easter Saturday, April 15, and on Easter Monday the Whakatane sports take place. The sum of £lBO is allotted to this meeting. The open events at each meeting are 120, 220, 440 yards handicap, 120 yards hurdles, and mile and half-mile handicap. Runners interested in the meetings will find details advertised elsewhere.
