EVERYBODY’S. “MAN—WOMAN—MARRIAGE.” TO-NIGHT AND TO-MORROW. Costly, gorgeous, brilliant, “Man— Woman —Marriage,” the drama-eternal, depicts woman throughout the ages. In scope of achievement and richness of presentation it sets new standards. In theme of universal appeal it reveals the changing epheree she has occupied since the dawn of history. Its magnificent sweep crystalises the story of woman from the eave period to to-day. Its dominant note is Faith—Faith on the part of . woman that right must conquer might. That love will find a way to overcome the malignant forces which have robbed her of the rewards of her love, devotion and striving for the better things of life. It shows how, in the crucible of time, woman has worked out her own salvation. It traces the ascendancy of the sex through the opalescent haze of mythology, down through the centuries to the present. It depicts courtship, marriage and the fiery furnace of inevitable misunderstandings which occur when wealth, power and alienation estrange the man from his life partner, woman. Throughout the story of the ages, the same principals, Dorothy Phillips and James Kirkwood, assisted by a cast that runs into thousands, play the parts of lovers, husband and wife. The box plans are at Collier’s, where intending wishing to avoid the crush may reserve.
THE PEOPLE’S. LAST NIGHT OF “A MAN’S HOME.” The masterful Selznick screen play “A Man’s Home,” an absorbing domestic drama enacted by an all-star cast, headed by Ralph Ince, concluded its season to-night, at the People’s. In the story the man gave her all her worldly heart desired —clothes, riches, jewels—and told her to be happy—without his love. Is a woman to blame for the destruction of “A Mart's Home” if he denies her his love? The bill includes gazette, comedy and “Adventures of Tarzan,” the box plan being at Collier’s. To-morrow’s change presents the popular actor, Dustin Farnum, in his big Fox production “Primal Law,” a stirring Western of love and intrigue in the West.
