WANGANUI SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, March 10. Tn the Supreme Court this morning Matthew Mulcahy, who pleaded guilty in the lower court to a charge of sheep stealing, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment. His partner, David Hyde, who pleaded guilty to receiving the sheep knowing them to be stolen, was admitted to probation for 12 months. Counsel fqr accused stated that Mulcahy refused to disclose the name of the person from whom he bought the sheep, asserting that he had given his oath 'and word of honor not to divulge the name. It was, he said, more than his word of honor, a religious element enI tered largely into the matter.
