POULTRY ASSOCIATION.
THE ANNUAL MEETING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston North, March 8. The delegates to the annual conference of the New Zealand Poultry Association were accorded a civic reception by the Mayor this morning. Replying, Mr. Merrett, secretary of the association, said 70 delegates, representing 13,500 members, were present. The 'conference bore striking testimony to the lustiness of the industry. He also announced that the executive of the association had decided it would refrain altogether from approaching the Government this year for financial assistance, but looked for the assistance of the Government in banishing Asiatic egg pulp from the Dominion.
