HON. C. J. PARR.

VISIT TO TARANAKI. The programme of the visit of the Hon. C. J. Parr (Minister for Health and Education) to Taranaki next week has been drawn up. The Minister, accompanied by Mrs. Parr, will arrive by the Rarawa on Tuesday morning. They will be met at the boat by Mr. M. Fraser (chairman of the Taranaki Hospital Board) and will be taken by car to the mountain, where the party will have breakfast. Mr. Parr has expressed a wish to visit the mountain, as he has heard much about its suitability as a health resort. On return to N?w Plymouth the Minister will officially open the new nurses’ home at 11 o’clock. At 12 o’clock Mr. Parr will receive a deputation from the High Schools Board, and after luncn will motor to Stratford, where he will officially open the new Technical High School. The Minister leaves Stratford on Wednesday for Palmerston North.
