Bell, 28 points, 1; A. Hasell, 10, 2; M. Alleman, 9, 3. Senior championship points.—O. Firth, 21, 1; W. Boon, 17, 2; A. Smalley, 8, 3. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. END-OF-SEASON CARNIVAL. At a meeting of the executive of the New Plymouth Swimming Club last night it was decided to hold the final carnival for the season on Saturday, March 25, and a committee was appointed to draw up a programme. Some Valuable trophies will be attached to the events at this gathering. A cup valued ai ten guineas, and a gold medal valued at £2 2s have been donated by Mr. V. Dalgleish for a 220 yards breast-stroke race. The 100 yards club championship carries a two-guinea medal donated by Mr. J. Bennett, and the Wanganui Centre have written intimating that they will donate two medals for learners’ races of 25 yards, separate events for boys and girls. The Grey Cup for a relay race, and the McHardy Shield, for primary schools relay race, will also be competed for. A points prize (a medal) has been offered by Mr. Dalgleish for club competition, spread over three races. The events will be 220 yards, 100 yards and 50 yards, of which the first two will be decided shortly, and the final will be held on the night of the carnival. The meeting also dealt with a statement on the finances of the carnival recently held, and on which a satisfactory balance was shown.
