Parcels firm, afloat 59s 6d. LONDON MARKETS Messrs. A. H. Turnbull and Co. have received a cablegram from Messrs. W. VVeddel and Co., Ltd., dated London, March 3, advising as follows : Danish butter, 16Ss to 172 s (last week 180 s to 184 s) ; New Zealand butter, unsalted, 1.38 s to 142 s (last week 140 s to 1455) ; New Zealand butter, salted, 138 s to ■ 140 s (last week 136 s to 140 s) ; New Zealand cheese, white, 84s to 86s (Last week 86s to 90s) ; New Zealand colored cheese, 96s to 100 s (last week 98s to 102 s). Market slow. New Zealand butter, first grade, salted, good demand for.” The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date March 3 Butter.—New Zealand, 138 s to 144 s per cwt. Market steady. Cheese.—White, 84s to 86s per cwt.; colored, 94s to 98s per cwt. Messrs. Booth and Co. advise that under date March 1 their London house reports by cable message that the demand was rather less active at the tallow sales held that day. Prices were, however, unchanged; 1715 casks were offered and 400 sold. On March 1 stocks in London were 8801 tons; February arrivals totalled 2542 tons, and deliveries were 3658 tons. Latest advices from New York are that the tallow markets ‘there are wmproving, with prices tending upward. Stocks of imported tallows very limited. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London office, under date March 3:— Butter. —Steady market at present prices. There is more demand-for saltecf than unsalted. We quote : New Zealand, salted, at 140 s; Queensland, 130 s; Danish, 1725; finest Australian, salted 1325, unsalted 1325. Cheese. —Market slow. New Zealand, colored 96s to 100 s. white 84s to 86s; Australian, white 80s 6d to 82s.
