EX-CROWN DRINCE.
REGAINS POPULARITY. WILD RUMORS AFLOAT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, March 4. The Obervser’s Berlin correspondent reports that an extraordinary revulsion of public opinion has restored the Crown Prince to popular favor. It started by the chance discovery of his likeness to Frederick the Great in a widely-shown film, and it has since steadily grown and assumed wide dimensions which, pending the publication of his memoirs, is likely to consolidate all classes, including many Republicans, who share the new feeling. Even Theodore Wolff writes in the Tageblatt urging that the Prince be allowed to return and assist in the development of Germany. There are wild rumors afloat crediting the exile with excellent chances of securing the Presidency of the Republic. In short he is easily the most popular figure in Germany to-day.
