A STEAMER DELAYED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, March 6. A dispute among the stokehold men on the steamer Somerset delayed the vessel’s departure for West of England ports for 24 hours. The trouble arose through two stokers engaged in New Zealand being paid English rates, which are lower than th 6 rates on Home steamers. The men were finally persuaded to resume duty. RAILWAY STATION ROBBED. Dunedin, March 6. Early on Sunday morning the Milton railway station was entered by burglars and over £2O removed from the safe, on which dynamite was used. Admission to the office was gained by breaking a window. The railway refreshment rooms on the platform iwere also entered and £lO in cash extracted. COAL EXPORT FORBIDDEN. Wellington, March 6. The secretary of the Miners’ Federation states that his executive has decided that no coal should be allowed to go from New Zealand to Australia in the event of trouble in the mining industry there.
