FARMER CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, March 4. The following United Liberal Party candidates will contest the seats in the general elections:—R|otn|rua, W. HWaikrow, farmer; Hawke’s Bay, Gilbert MoKay, farmer. HARVESTERS’ WAGES. Dunedin, March 4. A new award relating to Otago and Southland harvest hands, threshing mill hands, and chaff-cutters, provides for a wage of Is 7d per hour and found, with bonus of 3d per hour. The Arbitration Court, in a memo., explains that it has settled the wages on the basis of the recent North Canterbury award.
