POLICEWOMEN FOR NEW YORK. It is reported from New York that over 2000 women have been recently sworn in as constables. They are captained by a woman. Their special duty is to control and regulate the traffic at street crossings where children pass on their way between home and school. The policewomen will be clad in blue suits, black Sam Brown? bel t- black leggings, black shoes, and blue overseas caps. ““ They will have shield badges, police whistles and summon books. They are ordered to make arrests and to take culprits if need be to the police station.
