AWAKINO DOG TRIALS.

NEXT WEEK’S fIXTURE. Arrangements are well in hand for Awakino’s event of the year, viz., the Collie Club’s sixteenth dog trial meeting, which will be held on Mr,.’W. D. Thomson’s grounds next Thursday and Friday, 9th and 10th insts. Entries closed on Thursday, and given fine weather some keen competitions should be witnessed. The tea kiosk will be under the capable supervision of Mrs. Galvin. A grand concert ha* been arranged for the Thursday night, when a feast is in store for lovers of music. The following night will witness the Collie Club’s annual ball, at which the trophies won at the trials will be presented.
