NEXT YEAR’S TOURNAMENT. PLAY AT NEW PLYMOUTH By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The council of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association decided last night that a representative team of six men and four ladies be sent to New South Wales at Easter to compete in the New South Wales championships, commencing at Sydney on April 28. It was resolved to send a manager with the team. The meeting accepted the application of the Taranaki Association for the 192*2 New Zealand championship tournament to be held at New Plymouth. Hastings was the only other applicant. It was decided that all applications for authority to hold open tournament* must be made annually to the council, to reach the secretary by Octoljer 10 immediately preceding the date of the proposed tournament.
