FOOTBALL.
ENGLAND v. FRANCE. COMMENT ON THE PLAY. By Telegraph.— Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Feb. 26. The Times football critic comments that England has only once been beaten at Twickenham, when the South Africans won in 1913. The only previous draw was with Ireland in 1910. England’s backs made mistakes by which France profited somewhat brilliantly, but they are somewhat too raw yet to emerge from the elementary stage. The forwards packed clumsily, but pushed with tremendous keenness. The great fault was lack of restraint. They must learn to wheel and dribble, but they are fast, strong and well trained.
