INGLEWOOD.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) February 24. The funeral of the late QuartermasterSergeant C. Caterer was attended by a large number of returned soldiers, as well as many civilians, whose presence helped to emphasise the high esteem in which he had been held. The organisers of the obsequies had not been able to arrange for a formal military funeral, to Which he was truly entitled, but nevertheless a very large number of returned’ soldiers were present. The service was conducted by the Rev. Stanton. The many friends of Mr. A. A. Leslie, of Inglewood, will be pleased to learn thit his medical adviser reports that he is belter than he has lately been.
