MANY ARRESTS IN WELLINGTON. AIJLEGED GAMES OF CHANCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. This evening Chief Detective Kemp, 4 detectives and 3 constables raided alleged Pakepoo shops, one in Haining Street and others in Taranaki Street, and arrested seven Chinese and three white men. They will come before the Court to-morrow. To-day Sergeant Sweeney and six constables arrested a dozen men on the waterfront on a charge of playing hazards.
