AUTUMN BLOOMS

SHOW AT NEW PLYMOUTH. The autumn flower and vegetable show under the auspices of the New Plymouth Horticultural Society will be held in the Coronation Hall to-day. The show will be open from 1 to 5.30 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m. When the entries closed early this week they totalled over five hundred and since then there have been many late entries, so that when all the exhibits are placed in position they should make a very fine display. Though the weather of late has been very dry the flower gardens of the town are now full of a wealth of color and careful gardeners have produced, a wide variety of excellent blooms. The vegetable enthusiast has had his difficulties, but good results have been numerous, and both sections should witness keen competition. While flowers and vegetables are the main features of the show there are numerous other classes, all of which will combine to provide an attractive exhibition.
