SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
THE EGMONT CLUB. This year’s trials will be held on the 21st and 22nd proximo at Mr. Snowden’s farm, fnaha, and the club is looking forward to a most successful meeting. The prize money has been increased and many of the most famous dogs are expected to compete. Last year the club had two classes for novices over and under 20 years of age, and some very nice work was put up by those competing in these classes, the winners being presented with handsome medals and a valuable cup. These classes are again open and the club expects to see some keen competition amongst those entering, as several very promising youths are running their dogs. This is tbe first time the annual trials have been held in the Manain. district, and no doubt if the weather is propitious the people at Manaia will have an opportunity of witnessing a very fine exhibition of dog work. The honorary secretary (Mr. J. F. Tiddy, Box 2, Hawera), will be pleased to give any further .information.
