Two strikers were killed and many injured. The Governor called out the military.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Received Feb. 22, 11.40 p.m. New York, Feb. 21. At Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the police fired on a crowd of textile strikers before the Jenckes Spinning Company’s mills, following a refusal to disperse. Two were killed and several wounded. The Riot Act was read and State cavalry is patrolling the Pawtucket valley.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
