The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Age nej’ Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date February 17 : Butter.—New Zealand, 13Cs to 140 s per cwt.; market quiet. Cheese.—While, 02s to 94s per cwt.; colored 100 s to 102 s per cwt. THE MEAT MARKET SMITHFIELD QUOTATIONS. Messrs. M. a. Eliott, Ltd. (Palmerston North), have received cable advice from Messrs. Gilbert Anderson and Co., London, giving the following Smithfield prices for the week ended February IS: — Canterbury lamb.—Under 361 b., 10% d per lb.; 361 b. to 421 b., 10%d; 421 b. to 501 b., lOd. Best North Island lambs.—Under 361 b., 10%d; ordinary (under 361 b.), lOd. Canterbury wethers.—64lb. to 721 b., 7d. Best North Island wethers.—4Blb. to 561 b., 1 7 5-<Bd; 561 b. to 641 b., ordinary wethers, 561 b. to 641 b., 7d. North Island ewes.—4Blb. to 641 b., 6 l-8d Ox beet’ is normal at 3 5-3 d. The above prices are on the delivered basis.
