Captain Hussey telegraphed that the cruiser Uruguay, following the Woodville, the vessel bearing Sir Ernest Shackleton’s body, with flags half-mast-ed fired a salute and dipped the ensign, the bugles sounding the “farewell” as the Woodville passed the limit of the territorial waters to South Georgia.
