MATCH AT TARURUTANGI. At Tarurutangi on Saturday an enjoyable match was played between the local team and a team from Newton King, Ltd., the home side proving the victors with a lead of 70 runs on the first Innings. For Tarurutangi J. Sampson 16, L. Bishop 11, J. Giddy 11, A. Giddy 10 were the chief scorers, the innings closing for 113 runs. Newton King, Ltd., replied with 43, H. Oliver contributing 18. For Tarurutangi L. Bishop took five wickets for 13 runs, and Hamblyn six for 14, and for Newton King, Ltd. Cutfleld took four for 24, Oliver four for 33, Simpson three for 15, and two for 26. The afternoon was brought to a close with an enjoyable tea kiLd’p' served by *he Tarurutangi ladies.
