DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC. Auckland, Feb. 16. The wife of Clarence John Allen, a dealer, died under an anaesthetic at the hospital while undergoing an abdominal operation. A post mortem showed that death was caused by diseased organs, and the coroner returned a verdict accordingly. He found that the hospital authorities had exercised every care and skill.
